“NEW YORK BOSS GUITAR MAN”
DAVE FIELDS

BIO:
Dave Fields has been “burning up” the blues charts with his two CD’s TIME’S A WASTIN (2007) and the most recent ALL WOUND UP (2008) featuring XM Radio hit songs, “Still Itchin’” and “Train To My Heart”. Also having placed “Train To My Heart” on John Mayall’s new CD TOUGH. Dave has recently performed in Russia Moscow, Norway Oslo, Sardinia and Germany Kiel.
The terms “Renaissance man” and the “blues” will rarely appear in the same sentence. But master musician Dave Fields is truly a “Renaissance bluesman” of exceptional skills as a multi-instrumentalist, singer, composer, producer and performer.
Dave was born in Manhattan but was raised by a nanny from Athens, Georgia. The experience would provide the rich, funky flavor of “grits, gravy and chitlins” to the sophisticated, urbane influence of his famous father, Sammy “Forever” Fields. Sammy is a virtuoso pianist and world-renown producer, arranger and composer with eclectic and refined tastes that run the gamut from fifties rock ‘n’ roll to jazz and beyond.
Dave has performed with the likes of Hubert Sumlin and Bobby Rush. He has most recently teamed up with Billy Gibson, “The Prince of Beale St”, and noted film maker-musician, Dave Hughes, to form the backbone of the Dave Fields band. Both CD’s have been an international success in such countries as France, Italy, Denmark, Norway, Belgium, Holland and Australia. His worldwide appeal ranges from performances in New York City, Moscow, Sardinia, and San Diego. Dave Fields is truly “… a bright talent in the world of contemporary blues.” Sheryl and Don Crow MUSIC CITY BLUES.
