Tell us a little more about you in your own words (what you like, what instrument [if any] you play, etc).
I was born and raised in Wichita, Kansas and knew at a very early age what I was destined to do. I feel lucky just being able to say that. After receiving my Masters Degree at Kansas State University, I moved to New Jersey with my wife, Sandy, in 1984. I wanted to be next to the greatest city in the world-NYC.
Vocals, piano, trumpet, flugelhorn, tenor & alto sax and valve trombone are my main specialties, but no instrument is safe around me. I also collect (and attempt to play) any instrument within a 25,000 mile radius.
My good fortune has given me the opportunity to perform with the following artists, to whom I am eternally grateful: Bob Hope, Red Skelton, Gloria Gaynor, The Village People, John Stamos, Chuck Mangione, Buddy Rich, Branford Marsalis, Richie Cannata (Sax-Billy Joel) Liberty DeVitto (Drums-Billy Joel), Julio Fernandez (Spyro Gyra) Felicia Collins (Letterman), to name a few.
I am currently the Musical Director for "Smokin' Joe Frazier and the Knockouts". Now that's a fun project!
In addition to music, acting (Film, TV & Commercials), Marital Arts and Civil War reenacting are my other passions. I am also an Adjunct Professor of Music at a local community college. Like I said, I am very lucky.
To better serve you, tell us about your music connection.
