Trumpets first opened in 1988 and has become one of the best known Jazz venues in the NY/ NJ area. The club was acquired by Enrico Granafei and Kristine Massari in 1999. Both are music lovers and musicians and you feel that when you visit the club. Ahmad Jamal, Gato Barbieri, Houston Person, Stanley Jordan, John Tropea, Wynton Marsalis, Dave Valentin, Bucky Pizzarelli, Christian McBride, Grady Tate, Howard Alden, & George Benson are just a few greats who have graced the Trumpets’ stage over the years.

What they’re saying:
I had heard about Trumpets for several years & just never got around to visiting. After being there several times recently, I now know what I missed. The restaurant is great, the musicians are renowned, and the prices are reasonable. Enrico and Kristine’s hospitality and the intimate feel of the place have you feeling as though you’re with family. This place is an absolute gem. ~ Mike Stokes – Makin’ Music NY
The cover price at Trumpets Jazz Club & Restaurant is well worth it for the world class acts that they manage to pull into Montclair. Always a great date, Trumpets has a nice bar and an interesting space…~ reviewer – Insider Pages
Hidden Gem! My husband and I love Jazz. We found Trumpets in town, and we just loved our experience. Food at Jazz clubs in Manhattan has been disappointing, so I did not expect much from Trumpets, but on contrary, we had great food at Trumpets! Also, unlike Manhattan jazz clubs, drinks are strong for the buck. Quality of Jazz players shall be noted as well. I will definitely go back…~ reviewer – City Search
Good Place with Great Music: This is a really great place to catch jazz musicians. For starters, its small so you can get a good view. Get there early!.... reviewer – Yahoo Local
Feed the Body and Soul: This is a jazz club that strives for excellence in every element. The authentic Italian fare is always fantastic, but when you combine that with top quality jazz they bring (both legendary and hot, new artists) this dining experience is hard to top. Don't miss out on an opportunity to enjoy Trumpets. ~ Review by Real Life
Chill Spot..: I have the most serene times at Trumpets. The atmosphere puts you in relax mode, and the music does the same. If you like to groove to good jazz, this is the spot. The food is great as well..~ Best of NJ
