Many of you know me from my biggest hit "Hold Me, Thrill Me Kiss Me" however, I am a multi faceted performer with credits in the music field and as an actor as well. I just started my own record label and my first release "The Heart & Soul Of Mel Carter" is a first ballot Grammy nominee in the new category Best Pop Traditional Vocal Album.
I was discovered by Quincy Jones and began my recording career on Mercury Records. I eventually moved on to my mentor Sam Cooke's Derby label where I had my first hit "When A Boy Meets A Girl"
Always willing to expand my horizons in 1985 I had a Grammy nominated album "Willing" which I co-produced.
In the 90's I successfully toured and played to standing room only engagements in Atlantic City and The Royal Albert Hall in London. My new album is an homage to my own personal musical influences. I hope to return to the NY area soon. Life is good and I am "thrilled" to join his music community.
